Of late, Gourmet cooking seems to have caught on like wildfire. I think, it is catching on faster than the Covid 2019 virus itself. So much so that "Self Appointed Chefs" and plenty of wannabe cooks are busy posting pics of their delicious delights on Whatsapp.
If it wasn't bad enough being locked up (or down), seeing those ravishing pics (and not being able to devour them) is sure to send people like me into another downward spiral. If it wasn't bad enough not being able to sample them, we have to now catch up with the joneses and try and COOK too, supposedly to beat the lockdown blues! How?? I mean even the thought of trying to cook these! Going to Everest Base camp sounds like a better idea to me!
To make people like me feel better, below is my own recipe for the first step in cooking--
"HOW TO MAKE AND DEVOUR PERFECT DE'EVIL EGGS"
(NOTICE I didn't even try to use the work cook in the title).
Step: 1
Boil them for who knows how long.
Step: 2
Try to peel them, when it appears that some are part boiled and mushy inside. They should leak now!
Step: 3
What next? Try to reboil. Heat some water and throw them right back in. Ouch! Try not to look now.
Step: 4
Oops! Looks like they are disintegrating! Oh my god!!! Quick! Get them off the boil.
Step: 5
Add salt and pepper and avoid looking at them while eating. Try watching TV instead! There's some good news today of the curve flattening, focus on that instead!
Step: 6
Cool! The plate is clean. Now, a quick washup before anyone sees the mush!
For perfect instructions, see the pics below.
(DE' EVIL EGGS, don't they really look evil?)
Now, dammit, can one of these newfound Gourmet Cooks tell me how to boil those DE'EVIL eggs right this time?
So much for cooking in corona times. I'm better off cooking stories, for sure....
